Geosolving as the only Italian company involved in the geostructures sector is pleased to have participated in the 3rd Global Meeting of the COST Action, which was held on 25-26 January in Istanbul, at Boğaziçi University. It was an opportunity to meet in person with colleagues from Working Group 2 “Case studies and performance data” and to continue the activities started at previous meetings. We would like to thank Professors Özer Çinicioğlu and Hussein Mroueh for the organisation, the members from Turin (Prof. Marco Barla, Martina Nicolino, Martina Scerbo, Alessandra Insana, Simone De Feudis, Maria Romana Alvi) and all the participants for making this event fruitful and full of ideas for the future.
The objective of the European project FOLIAGE (european network for FOstering Large-scale ImplementAtion of energy GEostructure) is to promote the large-scale implementation of geostructures, reducing obstacles and fostering the development of a network between the various stakeholders (https://www.cost.eu/actions/CA21156/).
