The design and the realization of a 
new geoANDES monitoring and early warning system have begun. The system will be installed along the Pont Teuf gully to protect the Cogne-Valnontey municipal road. The system is composed of a trigger line equipped with one pull-off sensor to be installed along the gully, two traffic lights and a high-resolution camera along the road. The monitoring and EWS will allow for the effective risk mitigation caused by the propagation along the gully of avalanches during the winter and spring and debris flows during the summer that can easily reach the roadway.
